    Lakshmi puja is one of the main pujas done on the main day of Diwali i.e. 3rd day of Diwali. As per legend, Lakshmiji visits the cleanest house / work place first hence people do rigorous cleaning of their houses and work places. This puja is usually conducted in the evening hours. Once the puja is concluded, lamps are lit all over the house.     Vishwakarma Puja

    Lord Vishwakarma is described as the celestial architect who gave shape to the whole universe by his own hands. Lord Vishwakarma's name in Sanskrit means "Everything that Makes" and as per Vedic accounts many notable architectural marvels are attributed to his name. As a sign of reverence he is worshiped as the patron of all engineers, architects, craftsmen, artisans, weavers, mechanics, blacksmiths, welders, industrial workers and factory workers. Some of the notable architectural works by Lord Vishwakarma are Lanka, City of Dwarka, Indraprastha, Hastinapur, Flying Chariots of Gods and Swarga (Heaven). Padyami fall into the first day of Kartika Masa, Vishwakarma Puja is observed on the fourth day of Diwali, i.e. the day after Diwali. In some parts of the country including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Orissa Vishwakarma Puja is observed on 17 September each year and does not change according to the lunar calendar.
